Sugaring Hair Removal Method
There have been developed many hair removal methods over the centuries and sugaring hair removal is by far the oldest of all. Even today, it is still one of the best hair removal solutions that can be done cheaply from home by using a simple sugaring paste. It is similar to waxing, only that it is less painful and messy, yet it is less popular for unknown reasons, really.
It has originated thousands of years in ancient Egypt and it is a simple mixture of sugar and lemon juice. Actually a good recipe for sugaring paste is 1 unit sugar plus 1/8 unit of fresh lemon juice plus 1/8 unit water. As you can see the recipe it is quite simple and anyone can do it from home if you are not into buying sugaring paste kits. Also, it is far cheaper than waxing kits. Also, there are cosmetic salons that do offer sugaring if yo are too scared to try it at home.
When it comes to sagaring, the skin has to be prepared similarly to waxing. The hair has to be 1/4 inch long to adhere well the the sugaring paste. If it is longer, you have to trimm it shorter. Also the skin has to be perfectly clean, no use of creams or lotions previously to sagaring. You pad dry the skin with a towel and apply talcum powder over the skin. This helps protect the skin when you apply the paste. This should be applied on the direction of the hair growth and then pulled off reversely. Like waxing, it requires a little bit of practicing, but once you do it few times it can be an easy process of removing unwanted hair.
Some people prefer sugaring for removing hair because it is less painful since the sugar pste doesn’t stick to the skin, just to the hair, so it is easier to pull it and less messy. It is easily washable with warm water compared with waxing. It also doesn’t stain the clothes.
Where can you use sugaring?
Some people may wonder where can be used this hair removal solution and the answer is that women can use it anywhere, on the removing facial hair on the chins, eyebrows or upper lip, on the legs, arms, back or bikini line. When it comes to men hai removal, sugaring is a good option as well, with the single observation that it cannot be used on removing the beard.
